#48 - eight

it's already five days into this new year, 2008. what will this year bring? i have a few things in mind but what stands out is:
  • the debut of dwayne's world dodgeball!
  • a term off
  • then a term of one class
  • then a term off (summer)
  • central america trip!!!
  • start of second year of nursing school
  • new president, finally!
  • much more dodgeball
  • second season of kickball
  • work=money.
  • possibly st patty's barfly bus...
  • winning the lotto
  • more new friends
  • hanging out with same great friends
  • ski trip!
  • taking the train
  • QUADSTOCK!
  • new tattoo
that's a pretty good list for now. i'm not gonna make resolutions cause i never do. they don't work. but as of monday i will be vegetarian. lifestyle changes people. all that hawaiian then southern food has made me feel unhealthy. i also haven't worked out for about a month. can't wait for dodgeball!

i like how you slipped in "winning the lotto" there, haha. seriously, diet changes alter entire lifestyles... for example, now that i'm living on my own i'm eating only stuff that i want to eat, which means a lot more veggies and not the same 1) rice, 2) different kind of meat, 3) canned corn, dinner combination that i grew up with my whole life at home. but it's really hard to find different ways to put veggies into my meals without going to the grocery store and then cooking everyday. so i've had to get creative with frozen spinach/artichoke patties, green giant packaged peas and broccoli, ordering vegitarian dishes whenever i eat out. it's really hard to get a decent amount of veggies in a take-out plate unless you get a salad, and then that's all iceberg lettuce.

anyway, good luck with that, i'm sure there are lots more opportunities to go veggie in oregon.
